The Come Closer get together this month is on Friday 20th March 2015! It’s at 7:45pm @ Willen Pavilion, 28 Portland Drive, Willen, Milton Keynes, MK15 9JP (which is on Willen Estate – Portland Drive is accessed via Hooper Drive).
This month we are really excited to have our very own ‘savvy panel’ of everyday women sharing their answers to great life questions. For those who have been to Come Closer when we have done this before, you’ll already know it’s going to be a real treat! Included in our panel is the delightful, wonderful and totally lovely:
Jacqueline Dove, Laura Oxley and Eileen Ecclestone.
There will be another panel member, which we are awaiting confirmation on… so you’ll have to come on the evening to find out more!
As always, please feel free to bring a friend along.
Friday 17th April – A heads up that in April we are really excited to be hosting Lieutenant Colonel Christine Webb of the Salvation Army. Christine has lived an expansive life and been on lots of adventures. We are sure you are going to love her, so book the date in your diary now and invite a friend along!
We also wanted to mention what an amazing evening we shared in February. Thank you to Chris James for sharing her word and also to Deborah for her God Doogling !! Thank you also to the beautiful Rebekah for her diligence in preparing and her courage in delivering and declaring the word of God over our lives. Here is just a small taste of what was spoken:
We are God’s masterpiece! Genesis tells us that God said when creating our world that it was ‘very good’. The Hebrew language translates this to ‘an abundance of beautiful’.
The word ENOUGH can have a huge impact on our lives! By whose standards do we measure ourselves? Do you feel you are not enough? Thankfully God does not give us a Christian proficiency test before He accepts us. For we are deeply loved, made with purpose (psalm 139) saved by grace and are His great handiwork (Ephesians 2: 8-10). We may not think we are Enough but with and in Jesus we can stand secure. For his grace is more than Enough. “My grace is enough; it’s all you need. My strength comes into its own in your weakness.” (2 Corinthians 12: 9). We can bring what we have and we then can trust Jesus to multiply it, just as when he fed the 5000 where there was more than Enough… There’s more but you’ll have to wait for Rebekah to post her blog on the website – we’ll let you know when its there!
God greatly bless you as you walk through this week.
Love Emma and all the Come Closer team
