Hello Lovely One,
This is to let you know that this Saturday 6th December from 9am – 10:30am is the Come Closer Christmas Jingle Breakfast @ Willen Pavilion, 28 Portland Drive, Willen, Milton Keynes, MK15 9JP (which is on Willen Estate). We are going to have a delicious breakfast together, sing some carols and have a chance to enjoy great company! Let us know if you are coming so we know rough numbers to cater for. Rather than charge a set amount, we are asking for a donations towards the cost of the food on the morning. Any additional funds raised will go towards the gifts we put together each Christmas for women across the city (see below).
Christmas Gifts
Each year we put together Christmas Gift packages for over 90 women which are distributed through MK Act (the women’s refuge) and the Food Cupboard. These are for women we may never have the privilege of knowing, but want to ensure they feel valued and care about. So, we are asking for contributions to the toiletry products, things like body, hair, shower or bath products etc. If you, or any of the people you know can contribute towards this, that would be fantastic.
Packaging the gifts up will take place on Saturday 14th December (email Emma for details : emma@comecloser.org).
